eBay Announces Change to Australia and New Zealand Leadership

September 4, 2017-- eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY), a global commerce leader, has appointed Tim Mackinnon to Managing Director eBay Australia & New Zealand following the appointment of Jooman Park to Senior Vice President (SVP) APAC last month.

“Tim has a fantastic track record within the eBay Australia & New Zealand business having lead both the Seller and Marketing teams during his 6 and a half year tenure in the Sydney office,” said Mr Park. “Tim is well-known to the Australian eBay seller community and is well-respected by them for his deep ecommerce insight and partnership.” 

“When I moved to Sydney 4 years ago, I set out to help define a new Australian retail landscape by successfully partnering with businesses and establishing online retail standards,” continued Mr Park. “I am delighted with the progress the team has made and I know that Tim is the right leader to help guide the business as the ecommerce landscape in Australia continues to evolve.”

About Tim Mackinnon

Mr. Mackinnon joined eBay in 2011 working in the Sydney office across a variety of roles, most recently as Chief Marketing officer and Senior Director, Verticals and Retailer Growth. Prior to joining eBay Tim worked in corporate strategy and market entry for Intuit based in Mountain View, California. He has also worked as an advisor to the Australian Government on innovation and IT industry, and as a Senior Associate in an Australian corporate law firm. He has an MBA from Oxford University, and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Western Australia.

Mr. Park joined eBay in 2002, rising to become General Manager of eBay Korea. After guiding eBay’s business in Korea for eight years, Mr. Park transitioned to lead eBay Australia in 2013, bringing to the market a focus on collaboration and partnership to enable growth in the local retail industry. He graduated with a BS from Korea University and obtained his MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
